Once Active, How Does a PA Account Work?

You've chosen the plan you want for your PA account! This new plan is a fresh start with a new balance, which is the amount of the plan you selected. It also has a new max drawdown associated with that plan.

All trades must be closed and all pending orders must be canceled BEFORE 4:59 pm EST.

The Trailing Threshold

Make sure you understand how the Trailing Threshold works.

See: How Does the Trailing Threshold Work?

The Trailing Threshold will trail by the max drawdown amount until you reach the max drawdown plus $100. For example, if max drawdown is $2500 on a $50,000 account, it will stop trailing at $50,100.

NOTE: PA accounts have trailing stops at threshold plus $100, while Evaluation accounts can continue to trail longer until the profit goal is reached.

This is a big advantage with PA accounts!

Trade up to your max contracts.

There are no options to add contracts. Add an additional account instead.

Payout Limits?

There are limits on the first three months of payouts. No caps on the fourth and subsequent payouts.

Withdrawals can be made twice monthly. See more information HERE.

You keep 100% of the first $25,000, and 90% of the profits thereafter.

After You Fund Your Account

  • Once your PA account is funded, cancel your evaluation account and eliminate the evaluation fee for it.
  • There is a Monthly PA fee of $85 (Rithmic) or $105 (Tradovate), or you can choose a Lifetime PA (one time) fee that varies by account size. This is an all-inclusive fee for non-professional traders.
  • You continue your use of the Free NinjaTrader License Key.
  • Trade during the news. Use your normal Trading Strategy. We do not allow news trading strategies, news directional or multi-directional news trades of any kind. Straddles, strangles, or any type of news trading is prohibited. Such trades are considered high-risk or pursuing lucky windfalls. This places funds at high-risk and are not accepted.
  • At no time can a trader be both long and short in their accounts, nor multiple accounts, nor in arrangement with other trader/s. This results in immediate closure of accounts and forfeiture of accounts and funds.
  • Traders understand that Apex Trader Funding is seeking "to fund and payout" traders who follow a consistent trading plan in size, stops, and targets. Avoid trading max contracts on one trade, seeking "lucky windfalls" while trading micros the rest of the time, constantly changing sizes, dollar cost averaging, high-frequency trading, and inconsistent trading plans.
  • Trader funding is designed to be a long-term relationship of consistency and steady growth for both parties.
